Calais Campbell and Anthony Weaver Excited to Reunite in Miami

A Longstanding Relationship

Campbell and Weaver have known each other for over a decade, dating back to their time together with the Arizona Cardinals. They have remained close friends since then, and they are excited to work together again.

“I’ve always respected Calais as a player and as a person,” Weaver said. “He’s a great leader and a great teammate, and I think he’s going to be a great asset to our defense.”

Campbell echoed Weaver’s sentiments.

“Anthony is a great coach,” Campbell said. “He’s very knowledgeable and he knows how to get the best out of his players. I’m really looking forward to working with him again.”

A Key Addition

Campbell is expected to play a major role on the Dolphins’ defense in 2023. He is a versatile player who can play both defensive end and defensive tackle, and he is known for his toughness and leadership.

“Calais is a guy who can come in and make a big difference for us,” Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said. “He’s a veteran leader who has been there and done it. He’s going to be a great addition to our locker room and on the field.”

A New Challenge

Campbell is excited to be joining the Dolphins, and he is looking forward to helping the team improve in 2023.

“I’m really excited to be here,” Campbell said. “I think we have a great team here, and I think we can do something special. I’m looking forward to getting to work.”
