Usman Nurmagomedov vs. Paul Hughes:
This highly anticipated main event of the PFL Champions Series Road to Dubai lived up to its billing. In a back-and-forth battle, Nurmagomedov ultimately emerged victorious via majority decision. Nurmagomedov’s superior grappling skills proved to be the difference, as he was able to control the fight on the mat and avoid Hughes’s powerful striking.
Vadim Nemkov:
Nemkov continued his impressive run of form by submitting Timothy Johnson in the first round of their light heavyweight bout. Nemkov’s relentless pressure and ground control were too much for Johnson, who was forced to tap out to a rear naked choke.
Akhmed Magomedov:
After a slow start, Magomedov recovered to defeat the highly touted Nathan Kelly via submission in the second round. Magomedov’s superior grappling skills were on display, as he was able to take Kelly down and secure a rear naked choke.
Ibragim Ibragimov:
The undefeated Ibragimov continued to impress with a dominant performance against Kenny Mokhonoana. Ibragimov’s wrestling and ground control were on full display, as he was able to control the fight and win via unanimous decision.
Renat Khavalov:
Khavalov remained unbeaten with a victory over Cleiver Fernandes. Khavalov’s striking and distance management were key to his victory, as he was able to outstrike Fernandes and keep the fight at a range where he was comfortable.

Timothy Johnson:
Johnson was unable to match the pace and power of Nemkov and was forced to submit in the first round.
Nathan Kelly:
Kelly came into the fight with a lot of hype, but he was unable to overcome Magomedov’s superior grappling skills. Kelly’s lack of experience in the ground game was his undoing.
Kenny Mokhonoana:
Mokhonoana was outmatched against the younger and more skilled Ibragimov. Ibragimov’s wrestling and ground control were too much for Mokhonoana, who was unable to mount any significant offense.
Cleiver Fernandes:
Fernandes was game but outclassed against Khavalov. Khavalov’s technical striking and distance management were too much for Fernandes, who was unable to find his rhythm and mount any significant offense.
